Campsites on the Allagash can be truly spectacular. Below are my observations on some of the sites that I have been to or observed with pictures I have taken.

Campsites are generally well-maintained and each provides a stone fireplace, a large picnic table and outhouse. Each picnic table has a ridgepole which allows for a nice tarp setup. Campsites are all first-come first-served. Some sites are designed for multiple parties, determined by the number of picnic tables and as indicated on the map.
